Bald Knob Remembers Michael Wammack

It is with great sadness that the Bald Knob School District announces the passing of one of its own, Mr. Michael Wammack, President of the Board of Education. Behind nearly a decade of service on the board, Mr. Wammack was instrumental in the development of numerous facilities upgrades, including a new middle school, upper-level cafeteria, and auditorium renovations. However, his most significant contribution was his heart for the students of Bald Knob Schools. He was a devout supporter of all things Bald Knob, the Bulldogs, and especially the 1200 students whom he took into account before making any decision. Mr. Wammack's encouragement to the school's administration and staff to provide not only the best education but also the safest environment and a strong, family-atmosphere for its pupils was a hallmark of his calling.

”Working beside you as a colleague and friend was an honor that cannot be replaced,” said Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Melissa Gipson. Mr. Wammack, thank you for your untiring years of service, for supporting our school, and for pouring your love into every project and decision. While you left us too soon, your impact will continue to resonate throughout the buildings and people of the Bald Knob School District for years to come.

The Bald Knob School District, its board of education, and Ms. Gipson extends its deepest condolences to Michael's wife and kindergarten teacher, Melissa; his son, Michael; his grandson and 5th-grade student, Jackson; and the immediate and extended Wammack family.
