ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

OUR PURPOSE

Bald Knob Public Education Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is exclusively educational and charitable and is to secure and distribute contributions from individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations for the benefit of students in the Bald Knob School District. The primary use of funds generated will be to endow scholarships and provide academic enrichment.

WHO WE ARE

The Bald Knob Public Education Foundation, Inc. was established in 1994 as a community-based, not-for-profit organization recognized under state and federal law as a 501(c)(3) charitable, tax-exempt organization.

Members on the Foundation Board include business and community leaders, parents, grandparents, and educators interested in encouraging student achievement within the Bald Knob school community.

WHAT WE DO

"PREPARING OUR CHILDREN FOR THE FUTURE"

The future of our community depends on quality jobs, which require skilled labor and demand good pay. Industries seek to locate in areas with a highly educated and well-trained work force. A quality work force draws jobs, which broadens our tax base and ultimately impacts our economic growth. The purpose of the Foundation is to secure and distribute contributions from individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations to endow scholarships and provide academic enrichment to children in the Bald Knob School District. In an effort to provide enhanced educational opportunities for more students, the Foundation funds partial scholarships to seniors enrolling in college level courses at the high school. A

"PUTTING OUR MONEY WHERE OUR FUTURE LIES"

Our school is the place where knowledge, personality, discipline, judgment, and respect for authority will be forever instilled or forfeited. Only the net income from the Foundation will be available for scholarships and projects. Therefore, preserving the principal to provide a perpetual source of funding for scholarships and educational enrichment is vital. As a result of the Foundation's growth, the number of scholarships will increase. You can make an investment in the future of our students in the Bald Knob Public Schools with your tax deductible gift of cash, life insurance policies, stocks and securities, property, memorial gifts, or planned giving. Through its committees, the Board of Trustees carefully oversees and audits its internal investments, expenses, and the use of scholarship/grant funds.
