The 6th graders at Bald Knob Middle School enjoyed an exciting day of hands-on learning when the Museum of Discovery brought its Awesome Science program to campus. Presenters Alexsis Byrd and Seth Cheshier captivated students with interactive demonstrations designed to spark curiosity and excitement about the world of science.
The program, presented in partnership with Summit Utilities, transformed the classroom into a stage for discovery. From eye-catching experiments to engaging explanations, students were encouraged to see science in action and connect it to their everyday lives.
Thanks to the generosity of Summit Utilities, the presentation fees and travel costs for the Museum of Discovery educators were fully covered, making this high-quality program free of charge to Bald Knob Schools. As an added bonus, every student who attended received a free water bottle to take home.
“Our students were thrilled,” said teachers after the event. “It’s opportunities like these that make learning memorable and inspire a lifelong love of science.”
The Museum of Discovery’s visit left students buzzing with excitement, proving that science is not only educational—it’s awesome!
