Parents and community members,
Bald Knob School District would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Bald Knob Police Department, White County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas State Police, Searcy Police Department, Judsonia Police Department, Kensett Police Department, and the White County Office of Emergency Management for their swift response and strong presence during today’s lockdown.
Their immediate action, professionalism, and commitment were instrumental in securing our campuses and buildings and, most importantly, ensuring the safety of our students and staff.
Following an investigation, authorities determined that the threat originated from an out-of-state Google VoIP number that was also connected to similar threats made to schools in multiple states today. While this was ultimately determined not to be a credible local threat, every precaution was taken to protect our school community.
We understand that situations like today can be unsettling and create fear and uncertainty, but we are incredibly thankful for the decisive and coordinated response from law enforcement and school personnel. Their actions demonstrated exactly how seriously the safety of our students and staff is taken.
Today’s events served as an important reminder that preparedness, strong partnerships, and rapid response matter. We are deeply grateful for the dedicated agencies and individuals who worked diligently to keep Bald Knob Schools safe.
