Bald Knob Public Schools

Alejandro Javier Flores was awarded the Distinguished Governor's Scholarship.  Being named an Arkansas Governor’s Distinguished Scholar is one of the most prestigious honors for a graduating senior.  Only a select few were chosen out of over 6,000 applicants. It is certainly an enormous honor to receive this distinction. To be eligible students must receive a 32 composite score AND at least a 3.50 academic grade point average. In addition to high academic achievements, students must also show excellent leadership qualities. Alejandro scored a 33 on the ACT and earned a 4.1 GPA despite a rigorous course load. His accomplishments are outstanding and should be commended.  This scholarship is valued at up to $40,000 over the span of four academic years at any approved Arkansas public or private college or university.
