Dr. Jed Davis, current High School Principal of Prairie Grove HS, accepts the position of Bald Knob Public School Superintendent.
The Bald Knob School Board is pleased to announce and welcome Dr. Jed Davis as the finalist to become the district’s new superintendent, effective July 1, 2024.
After a thorough search process involving four focus groups made up of staff, faculty, and students of our school and the broader community, and a nationwide search, we are very excited to welcome Dr. Jed Davis to Bald Knob Public Schools, where his strengths in culture-building, community outreach, innovative ideas, CTE and STEM, and technology in education will complement our PLC based education approach and commitment to academic excellence for each Bald Knob student.
Dr. Davis has worked in multiple public schools for 20 years. Throughout his career, he has served as a teacher, assistant football coach, Head Coach, assistant principal, and principal. He has been at schools 3A through 6A and worked in middle, junior, and high school.
He joined the administration ranks at the Prairie Grove School District in 2018, serving as the assistant principal for the middle school and then, one year later, the principal for the junior high. In 2021 he became the high school principal, where he will finish out the 2023-2024 school year.
Dr. Davis holds a bachelor of arts degree in Mathematics and a teaching degree from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas-Monticello, and a Doctorate of Education degree from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
Dr. Davis noted, “My family and I are excited about joining the Bald Knob Bulldog team and we can’t wait to start meeting people and building relationships! Throughout this interview process I learned a lot about the people and the great things that are happening in Bald Knob Public Schools, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this community and school district. I am looking forward to working alongside the school board, the faculty and staff, the students, and the people of Bald Knob. It’s a great day to be a Bulldog!”
The Bald Knob school board is pleased to have Dr. Davis as our new superintendent and look forward to many prosperous years working together.
